I mean how wedded to male chauvinism does a man have to be to write smart-ass, stream-of-consciousness drivel about the mother of his children? Scott McClanahan lives in Beckley, West Virginia, and is the author of eight books. Last June Rolling Stone did an article entitled, “Scott McClanahan, Appalachian Literary Outsider, on his Harrowing Divorce Book.” Yes, he has attracted that kind of attention.
