Too few books about relatively obscure strikes in Appalachia exist. This strike, at the Kingsport Press, one of America's largest, began in March of 1963. It was still on-going when this book was published in 1967! It includes a chapter criticizing the National Labor Relations Board and chapters that tell both the company and the union side of the story. The author, Sylvester Petro, was teaching labor law at New York University when he wrote this book.
New Rochelle, New York Arlington House, 1967. 238 pages. Trade paperback.
