Abigail Muncy arrives in London, Kentucky, escaping a past, and Phillip Wells is a local man who feels ready to settle down after the death of his wife. Haddix describes herself as an “author of women’s fiction romance touched with traditional Appalachian folklore.” She is also the author of three additional series of books. She lives in Eastern Kentucky.
