Bettie Sellers (1926-2013) was Poet Laureate of Georgia from 1997 until 2000. Her grandmother was from the Nacoochee Valley in North Georgia, so - although she was a native of the Georgia Piedmont - she accepted with alacrity a position as a professor at Young Harris College in 1965. She retired in 1997. This is the second of her four poetry collections complemented by three chapbooks and a biography of the great North Georgia poet, Byron Herbert Reece.
