This is a book that President Jerry C. Davis of Alice Lloyd College used to raise money for the college during his tenure from 1977 until 1988. On my first visit to Alice Lloyd in 1967 as an anti-Vietnam War organizer, the male and female students were forbidden from speaking to each other. In all my campus organizing I never experienced a more repressed and repressive fundamentalist Christian administration. More recently I gave a convocation talk there, and it was still very isolated - well off any through road in Knott County - but at least the students were trusted to talk with each other.
