Charles Wright (b. 1935) was Poet Laureate of the United States in 2014-2015, a Pulitzer Prize winner in 1998 and a National Book Award winner in 1983. He grew up mostly in Kingsport, Tennessee, taught for most of his career at the University of Virginia, and lives in Charlottesville and Montana.  The editor, Robert Denham taught at Roanoke College and Emory and Henry College. He has written several books, especially about Northrop Frye.
