This book presents the greatest environmental challenges facing the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and Virginia that edge over into Tennessee and Georgia. One of its make strengths is that it includes suggestions for solutions along with the environmental threats. Taken as a whole, this book is wonderful, but obscure and confusing chapter titles make it initially appear daunting which is a shame. The author, Steve Nash, is a professor of journalism at the University of Richmond.
