This book consists primarily of excerpts from a book by William Bartrum, the pioneering botanist, entitled An Account of the Persons, Manners Customs and Government of the Muscogulges or Creeks, Cherokees, Chactaws, &tc. Aborigines of the Continent of North America. Barrum's writing is extremely illuminating and the work that Jennings does helps put it in context. The result is powerful, insightful, and interesting.
