From approximately 1000 A.D. until 1700 A.D., a people who archaeologists call Fort Ancient lived in what is now Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. In West Virginia, evidence of their culture has been found in the valleys of the Kanawha, the New, and the Guyandotte. In Bonnie M.
