Fountain Inn, South Carolina is a growing town of approximately 8,000 people within the Greeneville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its name came from the fact that an inn was established there around 1830 at a stagecoach stop notable for a spring that gushed up so strongly that it appeared to be a fountain. Part of the Images of America series, this book is based on photos with captions, but it has a decidedly historical perspective and the photos proceed in chronological order. Co-author Caroline Smith Sherman is a Fountain Inn native, and Dianne Gault Bailey is a resident and the owner of Bookquest Used and Rare Books in Fountain Inn.

Charleton, South Carolina: Arcadia Press, 2017. 127 pages with lots of photos. Trade paperback
