The author, Marla Hardee Milling, is life-long Asheville resident who served as Director of Communications at Mars Hill College (now University) and as a news producer at Asheville’s CBS television station before becoming a full-time free lance writer. This book is not only very well researched, but also quite an enjoyable read. It will tell you Asheville connection to Elvis Presley, the Hope Diamond, and Amelia Earhart.
